Built by Friends, For Friends

How a decade-long dream and a timely video turned into the ultimate tailgate companion

The Backstory

The Dream that Waited.

For over ten years, I've been obsessed with tiny homes on wheels. Not because I needed one—I just loved the idea of building something unique, mobile, and purposeful. I've tackled plenty of ambitious projects: our 40x48 post and beam barn, finished basements, maple workbenches, even flipping an entire home. But a tiny house? The "why" was never quite there.

I bought the books. Sketched the plans. Followed the industry. But the project stayed on the shelf, waiting for the right moment.

The Spark.

That moment came in Fall 2025 when my wife sent me a video of a mobile pub. My immediate reaction? "Man, that is COOL!"

I forwarded it to a few retired buddies with a simple message: "We should build this."

See, we're college lacrosse fans. We make the pilgrimage to Maryland tailgates, setting up hours before the game, soaking in the atmosphere. And we kept thinking—wouldn't it be incredible to roll up with our own pub?

The Decision.

A few weeks of research later, my good friend Tom and I looked at each other and said, "Let's do it."

No more waiting. No more planning without action. Just two guys with some tools, too much enthusiasm, and a shared vision of creating something people would never forget.

From Concept to Creation

Every detail built by hand, powered by decades of craftsmanship

What started as sketches and late-night brainstorming sessions turned into months of hands-on work. We drew from every project we'd ever tackled—the precision from building workbenches, the structural knowledge from barn construction, the problem-solving from rental property repairs.

This wasn't just about building a trailer. It was about creating an experience. A conversation starter. A mobile gathering place that brings people together.

More Than a Mobile Bar

Swig Rig Life is what happens when craftsmanship meets community. We built this pub because we love bringing people together—at tailgates, weddings, backyard parties, and anywhere worth celebrating.

Every rental is a chance to share what we created with our own hands. It's a piece of our story becoming part of yours.
